There was bad blood between Blake and Spadea and their rivalry didn’t end on the tennis court. Both have books and Spadea especially had some choice words for Mr. Blake, since James was much more of the favorite son to Patrick McEnroe during their Davis Cup years and Vince was never quite successful enough to get the recognition he perhaps deserved. Nevertheless, he did have the edge over Blake in their head to head meetings, including a 5 match winning streak against him.
