CHRON GOBLIN: Calgary, Alberta Stoner Rock Party Animals To Record Third Album In Portland, Oregon This Winter   Calgary, Alberta-based heavy psych rockers Chron Goblin are set to make the snowy trek down to Portland, Oregon this February to record their third full-length album with the premiere Pacific Northwest rock and roll producer/engineer Adam Pike at Toadhouse Recording Studios.
Pike, who met the Chron Goblin fellas when they played to a sold-out crowd at Portland's Stumpfest in 2014, has a mile-thick resume of that includes Red Fang's self-titled debut and albums by Rabbits, Norska, Black Elk, Black Pussy, Diesto and countless other heavy masterpieces.
Adam Pike comments:
"It pleases me to get good word on the return of the rockers of riffs, the smokers of beer, the fondlers of fun, the Calgarians... Chron Goblin.  Blood and wine are going to flow on this record. Definitely looking forward to capturing it."
Chron Goblin guitarist Devin "Darty" Purdy comments:
“We are thrilled to announce that we have the honor of recording our new album with the very reputable Adam Pike at Toadhouse Studio this February.  Adam is a very talented individual who we feel can capture the essence and live energy of Chron Goblin. We fell in love with Portland during our US tour last Spring and couldn’t be more stoked to make our next album there!”
The new album, which will be a follow-up to 2013's Life for the Living is set to be released late Spring 2015. Keep an eye out for more details as the new year unfolds.
