It's official-- I am back in the US of A! For some reason, returning home after 4 months in Switzerland felt exceedingly longer than the 9 months I spent in France. Roughly a week after returning home, a week spent battling the ever-powerful effects of jet-lag, my mom, sister, and I set out for Park City, Utah to ski at Deer Valley. This trip gave me that "Swiss feel" back, with beautiful mountains and climbing altitudes, as well as some gnarly ski boot bruises. I think gnarly is the only suitable word-- we'll see what other vocabulary I acquire in California! Considering it is currently 57 degrees outside, going skiing was the only way we could have had a true white Christmas this year. Our week skiing at Deer Valley consisted of a zero-visibility blizzard, signature turkey chili, growing lift lines, and discovering new runs with each day.

Last night, I rang in the new year by watching What a Girl Wants and falling asleep 5 minutes before the clock stroke midnight. #nice Today, I took four hours to pack when it should've take two by taking breaks after I put each item in my suitcase. But alas, I am all packed and ready for California! Here's to my last day on the East Coast for awhile. I hope you all had a lovely holiday season and enjoy the rest of your winter breaks! xoxo Isabelle
