Day 20 #Bigblogmasproject2014

christmas

Hey There,

We have had the Christmas songs on repeat and the quality streets out in work since the start of December, but it still doesn’t feel like Christmas is only 4 days away.

Christmas Day is one of my favorite days of the year, to make sure its really good there are some must have essentials as far as I am concerned.

Food and Drink:

Pigs in Blankets – Personally I think these should be part of any roast and not just for Christmas.

Smoked Salmon Nibbles – Every year, as a pre lunch nibble, (Not that we need any more food to stuff in our faces) we have Smoked Salmon on buttered bread with lemon and pepper, it is delicious.

Terry’s Chocolate Orange – Christmas Day is one of those days you can get away with eating chocolate for breakfast and not be told off by disapproving relatives.

Champagne and Baileys – Christmas is about the only time of year I drink a ridiculous amount of baileys, and you can’t start the day without a bit of champers.

Clothes:

If like me, you have to go out and make some sort of effort, meaning you can’t just laze about in your PJ’s all day, then the most appropriate attire is something with either an expanding waist band, a dress or skirt which floats over the tummy, or a oversized jumper, (All in preparation for the food baby).

Films:

I’m already desperate to watch some Christmas films, and I can not think of anything better than after dinner, vegging out on the sofa watching some good films. I’ve seen that a couple of Disney films will be on from 6pm, including Frozen. So I will definitely be sat down for that. And if I spot any DVD’s over the next few days I’ll be buying them.

Family:

Finally, Christmas would not be the same without being with my family. Especially as there’s a new little one in the family.

What are your Christmas Day essentials?

Lots of love,

KBxx
