Christmas is a very special time of year to spend time with close friends and our loved ones. I never get dressed up any more, but I tend to find Christmas and New Years are both times for the perfect excuse to do just that! As a festive treat I've teamed up with Chi Chi clothing and styled up this stunning number for all my festive parties.

The year seems to have flown by and I can't quite believe we'll be heading into 2017. I got married in 2015 and that only feels five minutes ago! I'm looking forward to the New Year, but I must admit I am very excited about Christmas and that has never changed in my 32 years. I kind of feel obligated to be festive and excitable as I am the youngest in my family, almost like something I need to carry with me from my childhood!

Chi Chi dresses always make me feel fabulous. I haven't worn one of their dresses without feeling elegant. Best part is I've always been able to move about and be comfortable, which is a big thing really because who wants a dress where you need to shuffle about in, or the sheer thought of eating or looking at food would cause dress carnage. That's not for me, and the festive parties both from Christmas and New Year should be comfortable numbers - but who says you can't be comfortable, stylish and fabulous? Not Chi Chi that's for sure!

I have kept my outfit really simple because the dress is such a stunning shade of red, I didn't want to pull too much away from that. I hunted to find some of my old sparkly shoes I got for a wedding from Peacocks, invested in some super sparkly nails from Primark and in fact dug out my old feathered bolero from Wallis... which I've had since 2012! Goes to shoe that buying a statement dress you can often reuse your accessories. What do you think?
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone! Keep checking back as in the run up to New Year I will be getting you all ready for fitness!
