Chilli Mushroom is a classic Indo-Chinese dish loved by all. In today's busy world, where everyone is looking for quick, healthy and yummy food options, Chilli Mushroom certainly is a great hit.

It is served as a snack/starter as well as a main course dish when served with Fried rice or Hakka Noodles. If you have any picky eaters at home who make really weird faces on the sight of mushrooms, this recipe is going to make them lick their fingers, I bet!

My elder kid never agreed to taste any mushroom dishes. She even removes all mushrooms from a veggie-pizza till date. Somehow, the chunky flavors in Chilli Mushroom just impressed her taste buds and she now likes mushrooms.

Apart from being quick & yummy, this recipe offers a lot of health benefits. Health experts and nutritionists refer to mushrooms as nature's nutritional supplement. That's because mushrooms are loaded with the nutrients our bodies need to generate energy and repair cells - including digestive enzymes, a spectrum of B vitamins, protein, and vitamin D2.

I have already written a lot about health benefits of mushrooms in the Mushroom Soup recipe and Shaadiwale Matar Mushroom recipe. Click the links below to access these mushroom recipes.

If you want to make a really fancy appetizers for your guests with these chilli mushrooms, try wrapping them in the tacos with a dash of ranch dressing and squirt of lemon. Your guests are going to be a big fan of this appetizer. My kids even love it wrapped in wheat flour tortillas or with Laccha Parantha. It's always so enticing to experiment one single dish in so many different ways. Don't be scared to try your own options. Be adventurous with your food and I'm sure you are going to make it 'just apt' for your taste buds.
