Sexual assault is on the rise no time ever before, but when parents heard about the child sexually abuse their heart starts pounding. It happens when someone tries to force a child for sexual activity. Sexual violence has plenty of forms such as child molestation, rape, incest and many others alike of non-consensual sexual contact.

When a child molested or sexually abused, reluctantly leave a massive amount mental effects within the child personality. Even sometimes a victim starts blaming himself/herself for sexual abuse and usually seems depressed. They start feeling shameful, threatened, stressful and often guilty. We have compiled few of the psychological effects that a child has after sexually assaulted.

A Child Always Remains in Depression:

When a child raped by someone then afterward he/she has to face the depression.  A victim deteriorates their importance and usually makes them despondent.  Usually, kids who sexually abused by someone become hopeless. If a proper is not provides to the victim then there will be most chances of being mild and fleeting and reluctantly become more serious and tiring.

A Victim May Come Across with Anxiety:

There will be more plenty of chances that a child who rapes or molested by someone may run with the anxiety problem. a child who suffers from any sexual mishap usually attached a stigma in their mind that he/she may attack once again and finally the level of anxiety doubled. However, sometimes it happens that victims start running from their homes and finally got agoraphobia. It also happens a person who abused a child, a child starts chatting to those who have same physical features to the attacker. Panic attacks also become the part of victim’s life.

Attachment Disruptions:

Children who suffer from sexual assault don’t remain friendly with others. In reality, they are shy and hesitate while talking others and also making relationships. They have plenty of questions, fear, and insecurities in their minds. They usually face difficulty making close relationships and it would be the very difficult job for them. Therefore, it is not possible easily to make friendly attachments having disruptive state of mind.

Addiction with Drugs:

According to the number of studies, the sexually abused victim starts using drugs and with the passage of time got addiction of the drugs. They mostly take drugs to forget the trauma they have faced of being sexually abused. Furthermore, finally, they have got addiction of taking drugs which reluctantly cause serious health issues for them.

Victims got Posttraumatic Stress:

A sexually assaulted child may have (PSTD) a posttraumatic stress means a serious type of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. It is very common for sexually abused victims to have disruptive personality.

Triggers:

A child who sexually abused often got a reminder of sexual assault which he/she has faced in the past at regular basis. Anything which seems pretty close to the attacker suddenly triggers the memory of the incident and the victim got scared. Let’s suppose the physical features which attacker has, if another person having same features of the attacker come face to face with a victim child, then it is very difficult for a child to stay calm and cool and he/she rewind the incident in their minds automatically. The reason behind this trauma, child unwillingly has stored the complete incident in their sub-conscious. He/she feel difficult to forget the incident happened in their lives.
