Ready to plan that perfect summer getaway but stumped on where to go? Our friends at WalletHub recently compiled a ranking of the best cities in America to take a budget-friendly summer vacay, and it turns out that the Windy City is pretty high on the list.
In WalletHub’s list of affordable yet Instagrammable American getaways, Chicago ranks in at number four. Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Orlando took the top three spots respectively. Contributing factors that were analyzed in the study included travel costs and hassles, local costs, attractions, weather conditions, activities, and safety. Of those factors, Chicago ranked in at number four for activities, number five for attractions, and number six for travel costs and hassles.

- Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX
