Cherry Hill in Central Park

By Wedincentralpark @CentralParkWed

Cherry Hill is a gentle, grassy slope which overlooks the Lake and Bow Bridge.  It has lots of tree covering, and is a large open space, so it is well suited for large wedding groups.  There are no boundaries to the area though, and it does not offer any privacy, so a wedding here is a gathering with nothing to wall in the group, as some of the structures offer, but it does enjoy incredible views.

Cherry Hill a lawn with several trees in the middle of Central Park.  It is close to Wagner Cove and Bethesda Terrace, so it would not require too much walking to get to all the major sights.  This is particularly helpful if you have a large group, since the more people you have, the longer it takes to walk somewhere.  The trees and flowers make it a lovely spot, with a decorative fountain at the top of the hill, where pedicabs could drop off guests who are unable or don’t want to walk.  The trees will provide shade from strong sunshine, but there is no cover to protect from rain, and of course because of the grass, no suitable when there has been for heavy rain.  The maximum guests allowed for an event permit issued for a wedding here is 100 people.

Below are some wedding photographs from Cherry Hill.  These photos are intended to show the location in as much useful detail as possible for any couples considering a wedding there.  Please feel free to email me,  if you would like any further advice or information on this location.
