A new post ...and one of my most loved dish...Cheese Naan!

These days I love making cheese naan all the time. My daughter loves butter chicken that I make, and to go with it I make these naan. You can check my recipe of butter chicken too.

When I was in Goa,we had been for a family get together, where my niece told me to try this cheese naan. But with the name of it I was a bit reluctant as eating cheese was not my fancy!
I tried it for the first time and I think after that till date I have been eating only cheese naan's on every occasion.
Whenever I make them I click an instant picture from kitchen table and send it to my niece. 😁😁

You can actually make these naan in a multiple ways:naan topped with melted cheese, also you can stuff naan with cheese.
I have loved another dish of cheese was grilled cheese sandwich, you can check that recipe too. It's another hit at my place!

The best part of this naan was that no only the cheese part but the naan was so soft and thin, but they remained soft for a long time. All I did was cover the bread basket in which I placed the naan with a cheesecloth/muslin cloth!

Try making the naan at home and let me know if you did not fall in love with them too!
Step-wise pictures will be posted on my Facebook page.
Send me your feedback/pictures 😊 Enjoy !

  • This is not a leavened naan. I have not used yeast, baking soda.
  • I wanted to have soft, yet very thing and cheesy naan as an alternative to the thick naan we are used to eating in restaurants.
  • This naan will not turn dry/hard/crisp and break after cooking it.
  • I have made this naan using this method on multiple occasions and it remains fresh and soft for a long time. You need to cover it with a cheesecloth/muslin cloth till you consume it.
  • You can alternatively roll it slightly thicker to achieve your desired consistency.
  • The dough should be soft and yet dry or else it is difficult to roll it out thin.
  • Best place to roll naan is on kitchen counter instead of rolling board.
  • To spread the cheese mixture, once it melts you can spread it quickly with a spatula.
