This video and song are perfectly described by the line cheerfully sung by Cheers Elephant’s lead singer Derek Krzywicki, “You put it in your pocket and you save it for a rainy day.” The video is a showcase of optimism and fun as the band takes you on beachy bike rides, to an outdoor concert and then for some Frisbee fun in the sun. All while psychedelic words surge, dart, slide, multiply, appear and disappear at random across the screen. The combination of the song and video is enough to plaster a smile on the face of Eeyore.

This song uses every sound and trick in the book that has ever made people feel good in the history of happiness: hand claps, gang vocals, cooing oooh’s, optimistic vocals about love, simple yet effective guitar work and piano interjections that sound like the piano is being deliriously pounded on. These elements have shown up before in other songs, but this might be the first time a song has so masterfully combined them all together. Putting a bow on all this is Derek Krzywicki’s vocals, which ooze together like sweet honey when he sings the chorus. Simply put: Happiness.
