CerebralMix 2015-08-30: Poetry Series Ep 4

If you think that the track listing is a little odd this, well you might be right. Afterall, who is this “SoundChaser” person, and why does he have a track that is 51 minutes long in the show?

Well, the answer to that is quite simple. First, I am that “SoundChaser” person, and yes, it is a track that I put together. In fact, it is the shortest of my tracks that are out at this time. How it ended up in this show is a semi-funny story.

For anyone that might have figured that there is a method (that I have never completely divulged) to how the CerebralMix is put together you might realize that it doesn’t fit here. In fact, a piece titled “Experiment 5” is likely to never fit in this show. Well, at least it wouldn’t fit in this series. But, I added it to this show because of what I will call a failure of my method for putting shows together. The fact is that as I built the playlist for this show it was running short, extremely short: close to an hour. So, I had to figure out what to do about that shortcoming — so I figured I would drop some piece of ambient music into the show since it already seemed to be a fairly ambient oriented episode.

I will say this, don’t be distracted by the inclusion of a piece that doesn’t fit with the normal method of putting this show together. Everything else in the show is based on the normal method, and should fit into the plan… Which, for anyone keeping track, is the method that is turning this series into the “theme and variations” I mentioned it being last week.

Now, as to how “Experiment 5” became the second music track on this episode… Well, I won’t explain that, I’ll let my intelligent listeners puzzle over that one.
