2017/18 season is set to be a hit of top shows

Nothing beats live entertainment. The lights, stage, and the audience around you are all abuzz with an infectious vibe you'll never find in a download. Like playing your favorite vinyl album, live performance has a richness and realness that lodges in your memory and sticks with you, a sensory experience unmatched by digital. The 2017/18 Centrepointe Theatres season is an album worth playing in full.

This season, Centrepointe Theatres will be one of the hottest places for live music with rockers Graham Nash, and Tom Cochrane with Red Rider taking the stage. Country fans can swing to the sounds of Gord Bamford, and opera fans will be dazzled by the operatic power of Julie Nesrallah, Gary Relyea, Richard Margison.

Nothing is more visual and immediate than dance. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2018 with Ireland's superstar dance company Rhythm of the Dance. Contemporary dance lovers can't miss the musical delights of Hollywood's Shaping Sound, returning to our stage.

As the season continues to spin, audiences will be rolling with laughter with the return of The Debaters, and Just for Laughs Roadshow. Superstar comedian, Roseanne Barr will be bringing her huge personality to the stage with her outrageous comedy.

Parents and children will thrill as Tall Stories' international hit show, brings The Gruffalo Live on Stage to life, and sing along with the king of children's entertainment, Al Simmons.

The excitement continues with a new release for the 2017/18 season - an intimate studio series. Audiences are invited to Centrepointe Theatres dynamic black box studio space to enjoy the soothing sounds of Canto Sentimento String Quartet, experience the excitement of Ottawa's infamous Duelling Pianos in a theatre setting, enjoy golden age jazz hits with Grey Jazz Big Band, and Ottawa's very own music man, Yaki, will entertain young audiences with his Halloween spooktacular show.

Don't skip a single track of this spectacular season!

Centrepointe Theatres Presents…it’s 2017-18 Season

Field Service Tech by day, Live Music Nut by night! My family and I call the Thousand Islands region of Ontario home. I'm a blogger, social media geek, tech, and live music fanatic. I founded Sound Check Entertainment in 2010 to help promote festivals and emerging artists from across Canada and the world! I now act as festivals liaison, manage media relations and, of course, cover events in the National Capital region. I'm also a diehard Habs fan but Sens fans fear not; as long as they aren't playing against my Habs I cheer just as loud for the Sens.
