Twixmas is the period between Christmas and New Year. The word Twixmas comes from the old English phrase ‘betwixt’ which means between. It is usually the time to relax and recharge before the New Year, a chance to spend quality time with family and friends or to make the most of the Christmas sales.
The luxurious Twixmas menu will be served in the hotel’s glamorous restaurant Hunter 486. Dishes include Truffle oil rare beef salad; Roast beef or chicken with roast potatoes, root vegetables and Yorkshire pudding; and Caramelised shallot tart, baked goat’s cheese, honey and thyme reduction. Desserts encompass Chocolate fondant with burnt orange ice cream; Mulled wine pear; or Sticky toffee pudding with caramelised banana ice cream.
Priced at £35 per person, the three-course Twixmas menu will be served from 27 December until 30 December 2016 and 2 January until 8 January 2017 from 12pm until 10pm.
