As an author, I couldn't ask for anything better than a very involved editor, a super-supportive publisher and an amazing co-author. Pinch me. Am I dreaming?
I've been sitting on this news for weeks, but today I want to announce that I'm working on my 9th book, and my first book with a co-author: Danielle Smith of Extraordinary Mommy. I am so grateful she said "yes" to my offer to join me in writing a book for women who are home with a baby or small children and don't want to return to the 9 to 5 grind.
You can read Danielle's wonderful announcement to get her side of the story and learn more about this extraordinary woman.
And speaking of story, we're looking to interview women with home-based businesses who started their company after the birth of their first baby or with small children in their midst. Is that you?
You can submit your story to be considered for an interview to be featured in our book, tentatively titled Mom, Inc. (book pub date is September 2011).
I've also started a private Ning group to network with other home-based moms who are entrepreneurs to make sure we include as many real-life anecdotes as possible. If you want to join, just let me know!
We really hope to hear from you and hope we can include your story in our book. And if you're a woman looking to start a business at home, hold tight! Our book will be out THIS YEAR. We're writing as fast as we can...
Do you have a home-based business you started after having your baby? Tell us about it!
