Castor oil bath is a bath in with a few drops of castor oil and other ingredients. This bath is inexpensive it has the ability to offer you lots of health benefits. It is very sticky and messy, but this bath is very relaxing and uplifting. So, it is evident that a castor oil bath is one of the best things that you can get for your body. Before looking at the benefits of castor oil bath, let us see the health benefits of castor oil.

Anti-inflammatory:

Castor oil is very effective for treating skin inflammation. It has anti-inflammatory properties, which help in calming and soothing sensitive skin.

What is the needed quantity?

You can use about 100 ml of castor oil for the bath. Try not to use more than 100 ml of the oil.

When to take castor oil bath?

It is recommended that you take his bath on Saturdays, as you may feel so relaxed that you want to test. You may feel a bit tired after the bath and want to have the next day off. Morning is the best time of the day for castor oil bath. Try to avoid putting on the oil once it is dark, because in ayurveda, you do not put oil after sunset.

How to do it?

When you take castor oil bath, you have to first apply the oil on top of your head, in small quantities. Rub the oil well o your scalp and hair. Then you can continue applying it on your face. Make sure that you avoid the area near your eyes and lips.  Then continue downwards till you reach your toes. Make sure that there is a good layer of castor oil on all parts of your body. As you apply the oil, make sure to massage your body as strongly as possible.

Now you can lie down and rest. You can listen to your favorite music to relax your mind. When you are taking castor oil bath in summer, you start sweating after a while. This means that the oil is working on your skin. If it is in cold weather, you can put a heater in your room when you apply castor oil on your body.

After applying the oil, wait for about 15 minutes. Do not overdo it, especially when you are having it for the first time.  Now you can wash it off. You can use citrus soap to remove the oil from your body.
