Back when carpe carmina turned 3 years old ...
....
country-favoring vocal artistKatie Ellenmost likely has been writing songs. What makes carpe carminathink so? Well, the liverpool-basedtrained music teacher has done so since she was 16 years old and can look back at about 32 trackscomposed thus far. It wasn't until june 2016though that she got back out there to show the world what strong vocal chords she calls her own. Now roughly a year later, on may 1Katie has released her debut single'Can't We Just Be Friends', which has been a huge step for her as she was afraid at first to share it and only decided to promote the song because of the great feedback she received when showing it to people in the process of honing the track. carpe carminasure is happy she didn't let fear stop her from recording this atmosphere-soakedand soulful songand hopes to hear more from her soon. In fact it looks quite promising that the singer/songwriter will live up to this hope as she recently informed her fans and followers about trying to figure out what songs of hers could make an EP; and since she has gained new confidence after hosting an onlinegig from her living room (courtesy of Concert Window) and being invited to perform in Nashvilleearlier this month, there is little to no doubt that the music world will hear from her again in the foreseeable future.
Music well worth listening to ...
... cause if a debut single sounds so heavenly harmonious and melodiously pleasing, it's hard to ignore the songstress behind it. Especially if she got such a cozy and tenderly expressive voice. More of this, please!

Let's hear it from Katie Ellen ...
