Cafe Cre Asion

By Takeeatfoodblog
The last time I visited Cafe Cre Asion was early last year (http://take-eat.weebly.com/food/cafe-cre-asion1) and it was the happiest day ever because I was looking high and low for this little cafe. Cafe Cre Asion was not very well known back then but it has no become one of the hottest go to places for brunch! I think the main reason might be is that they have really stepped up their Matcha (Green Tea) game, serving all things matcha from cookies to lava cakes. The green tea here is very authentic because it is bitter yet sweet and there is a strong flavouring of green tea taste in their drinks and desserts, as opposed to other places I have been to where the green tea is either very watery or extremely sweet.
My friend and I have been meaning to go to Cafe Cre Asion all semester but because of our busy schedules we never found the time. Now that it is the holidays we finally made the trip to our now favourite cafe and there was no regrets that day. Our eyes were definitely much bigger than our stomachs because we ordered a lot!! (As you can see from the images below) But we definitely had a lot of fun snapping pictures of the most photogenic dishes!

Matcha (Green Tea) Latte | $5
The beautiful bowl of green tea latte which was packed full of green tea flavouring which was creamy with a hint of sweetness and bitterness.

Poached free range chicken, chilli pickled Asian mushroom, iceberg lettuce, zucchini, white sesame and wasabi mayo | $11
Both sandwiches were packed full of meat and other ingredients and for what we paid for it, it was definitely worth it. The chicken sandwich had a lot of mushroom in it, there was so much it was falling out of the sandwich causing the whole process of eating it to be very very messy. Nonetheless it was a very tasty sandwich that so filling that I didn't need to eat dinner that night.

Master stock braised pork neck, pickled red onion, grilled cabbage, aged cheddar cheese, honey and whole grain mustard  | $12
The braised pork neck sandwich was my favourite out the two sandwiches we ordered. The reason for this is that 1. I'm a major fan of anything pork 2. The pork was extremely tender and the complimenting elements in it were not too overpowering and went really well with the pork.

Matcha (Green Tea) Lava cake
I introduce to you one of the most instagrammed desserts of 2015- The Matcha Lava Cake! This is the main reason why my friend and I wanted to go to Cafe Cre Asion and we are definitely glad that we ordered this, even though our stomachs were about to burst. The matcha beautifully flowed out, once cut, and they even gave us an extra cup of matcha sauce to pour over the cake just in case we didn't have enough matcha already :P The matcha lava cake was just as good as the other matcha items that Cafe Cre Asion serves. This is definitely a must to order if you go to Cafe Cre Asion, you won't regret it!
Overall, everything at Cafe Cre Asion was perfect! From the food, interior to the extremely friendly and helpful staff! I highly recommend you go try it (everything on the menu is good!) I recommend going before peak hour lunch e.g. 12-2pm because it got quite busy when we were there around 12pm.
Happy eating x
