I have had buffalo a few times in my life. I really like it. So, when I found out the special at Buffalo Run Farm, Grill, and Gifts was an Elk Burger, which is something I’ve never had before (I don’t think I even knew it was an option), well, what did I have to lose?
Hubs ordered the Buffalo Burger from Buffalo Run Farm, Grill, and Gifts creative menu. Kid #1 requested the smaller sized buffalo burger and thought he was pretty big stuff getting the same thing as dad.
We enjoyed the homey atmosphere while waiting for our food. Actually, Kid #1 really, really liked the entire Buffalo Run Grill and Gifts experience, inside and out! We could hardly tear him away from feeding the buffalo.
Buffalo Teeth and…Leg Lamps?

He loved browsing around at all the unusual stuff inside. I mean, we’re talking some pretty neat and also some downright bizarre things for sale! It was fun–and a great way to pass the little bit of time before our food was ready.
Let’s see…we saw buffalo teeth, a buffalo leg lamp (Move over, A Christmas Story, right?), and also had to buy a jar of Caramel Pecan Apple Butter. Yes, it was good and yes, it was eaten rather quickly in our house!
Back to the cool stuff for sale in this Lincoln City mom and pop–Kid #1 got a tomahawk to bring home and Kid #2 got a cute little Buffalo stuffed animal. So adorable! It’s just the perfect size for him and will probably be one of his “best friends” in the years to come.
My burger? Wow–it was great! Of course, my experience with Elk Burgers is pretty limited but I would get it again. Hubs and Kid #1 loved their Buffalo Burgers. Win/Win.
Family-Run and Cozy
Everyone at this Indiana buffalo farm is so nice. Nothing makes me happier than having a great experience at a family-run place. If you are looking to get your fill of buffalo, in more ways than one, you absolutely need to check out Buffalo Run Farm, Grill, and Gifts in the small Indiana town of Lincoln City, Indiana!
