Buffalo Bills Quarterbacks Since Jim Kelly

By Ceboscuit @ceboscuit

After this morning’s post about the Cleveland Browns fan who’s jersey listed all the quarterbacks since Tim Couch was taken #1 overall in 1999, it got me thinking about the Bills and their quarterbacks over the years.  The quarterback position is one that the Bills have just failed at over and over and while I’m already all in on EJ Manuel, there is still a ton of work to be done.  While you won’t see me creating a jersey of my own listing all the quarterbacks that the Bills have trotted out there, Microsoft paint can bring to life almost anything.

So, without further ado, the list of quarterbacks who have started at least one game for the Buffalo Bills since 1996, the last year Jim Kelly started a game for them.  That year Kelly started 13 of 16 games, the Bills went 10-6 and made the playoffs as a Wild Card team.  They eventually lost to the upstart Jacksonville Jaguars in the playoffs but it was the last time we had a QB who was legit in my opinion.  Don’t tell me Drew Bledsoe was, because he wasn’t and the only guy who came close to being awesome and briefly WAS awesome was Doug Flutie.  All he did was lead the team to the playoffs only to have Coach Wade Phillips start Rob Johnson in the playoffs because Coach Wade Phillips is a douche bag.  Plus the Music City Miracle happened and that was the last time the Bills made the playoffs.  I will now run directly into a brick wall, full speed.
