Bruce Arians Reportedly Taking Amos Jones Off Of Our Hands - Thankfully

Then today Tommy Deas of Tides Sports reports that Jones, a former University of Alabama football player, will indeed join the Cardinals coaching staff.

Amos Jones, a former University of Alabama football player and coach from Aliceville, will join the staff of former UA assistant Bruce Arians with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, Tidesports.com has learned.
Arians, hired as head coach of the Cardinals earlier this month, will also retain former Alabama quarterback Freddie Kitchens on his staff as quarterbacks coach. Kitchens has spent the last six seasons as Arizona's tight ends coach.
Also joining Arians' staff will be Kevin Garver, an offensive analyst on the UA football staff who will work with wide receivers in some capacity. It is not known what his title will be.
Jones will coach special teams with the Cardinals. He is leaving the staff of the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he also coached special teams for the last six seasons.
Jones, a Pickens Academy graduate, first coached with Arians at Alabama under the late Paul W. "Bear" Bryant in the early 1980s, when Arians was a young assistant coach and Jones was a graduate assistant.
When Arians left UA to become head coach at Temple in 1983, Jones joined that staff, coaching tight ends and defensive line for three seasons each.
Jones and Arians were reunited on the staff of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Arians was on the Pittsburgh staff from 2004-06 as wide receivers coach and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2007, the year Jones joined the staff.
Jones coached special teams at Alabama in 1990 and '91 under Gene Stallings. Arians coached running backs under Bryant in 1981 and '82, and returned for one season as UA's offensive coordinator in 1997 under Mike DuBose.
Kitchens, from Gadsden, was a high school Mr. Football in Alabama who got his coaching start as a graduate assistant under current UA head coach Nick Saban in 2000, when Saban was head coach at LSU. Kitchens was Alabama's starting quarterback from 1995-97, passing for 30 touchdowns and more than 4,600 yards in his career.

There's been no Confirmation of any of this from the Pittsburgh Media, NFL media or Pittsburgh Steelers so it is all speculation at this point but let's hope it is true. Amos Jones' special teams were terrible
