British Rider Extends Lead In Tour's Difficult Stage 10

Tuesday's stage 10 of the Tour proved to be the most difficult so far, as it entered the high mountains for the first time this year. And Christopher Froome of Great Britain showed he is probably the favorite to win the Yellow jersey. He won stage 10, using the extremely tough final climb (so tough it is not rated) to get more than a two minute lead over all the other contenders. Australian Richie Porte finished second, and Colombian Nairo Alexander Quintana Rojas finished third in the stage.
Tomorrow may be even more difficult -- having two category 3 climbs and a category 4 climb leading to a category 1 climb and another very tough unrated climb. It then finishes on a category 3 climb. Stage 11, covering 188 kilometers, will be another day for only the best riders.
