British Gas boiler ventilation and carbon monoxide tips

Colin Bissenden from British Gas explains how some boilers require ventilation to operate correctly. Ventilation should be kept clear at all times as lack of ventilation can result in a build-up of Carbon monoxide. Colin recommends that a carbon monoxide detector is installed and regularly checked that it is working correctly. If the detector does sound then the emergency gas service should be called on 0800 111 999
