British Film Director and Producer Tony Scott Passed Away
Tony Scott, one of the most acclaimed British film directors of such Hollywood blockbusters as Top Gun, Spy Game, Enemy of the State, The Taking of Pelham 123 and Unstoppable died by jumping from Vincent Thomas Bridge – a suspension bridge over the Los Angeles Harbor that links San Pedro with Terminal Island. He was 68 years old.

According to the Los Angeles Coroner’s Department and Port Police, Scott climbed a fence on the south side of the bridge’s apex and leapt off “without hesitation” around 12.30 p.m., i.e. August 19th, 2012. A suicide note was found inside his black Toyota Prius parked on the bridge.

Tony Scott was born on June 21st, 1944 in England. He was the younger brother of another acclaimed director, Ridley Scott. He was also the producers of many projects.

Tony was known for his trademark red baseball cap. He is survived by his third wife Dona W. Scott and their two children.
