What a little poppet Shayan is. Born 5 weeks early he was absolutely gorgeous with lovely big brown eyes. As a Bristol Newborn Photographer, having the session in their family home meant that everyone felt completely at ease.. The first few weeks with any new baby are so precious as you get to know each other and adjust to being a family. One of the things I love most about being a portrait photographer is being able to capture some of those moments for parents. The lighting in their nursery (with the blue wall) was gorgeous and I just adore the photograph of his mum Nishma kissing him on their bed. And as for the image of him sleeping on his dad's chest (which apparently is his favourite position)..... He's just too gorgeous for words.
At 8 weeks old but 5 weeks premature, Shayan wasn't quite able to focus and is still learning to smile. Something that really helped him to focus and interact was a set of little battery powered christmas lights. He absolutely loved them and couldn't take his eyes of them. That is how we managed to capture such lovely images of him looking straight into the camera and even giving a little half smile.
