Bringing Mom Sexy Back. Wordful Wednesday

By Parentingsmh @parentingsmh

Maybe more like chasing mom sexy down and putting it in a headlock so it can't leave.
It isn't easy.
At least not like it used to be.

You have an audience now.  An impatient one.
So when it's time for you to get all glamified and stuff, there they are, running around you, stealing your lip gloss (sometimes wearing it), stomping off in your shoes, and of course, asking "are you ready yet?" at the top of their lungs, from outside the bathroom door after you've locked them out.
So how do you maintain your style and absolute awesomeness when you have to contend with "them".
The Watchers.
Cause that's what they do.
They watch you, and make you feel pressured into hurrying, so you don't shave your legs, or tweeze that stray hair in your brow.
You forget to throw on an a camisole, that controlled your cleavage, or maybe you even forgot deodorant.
Now you're out and about, but uncomfortable.  Not sexy, because you know you could have looked felt better.
This was me.
Until I stepped my game up.

Bringing mom sexy back is no easy feat.  It takes dedication, perseverance, planning, and a good alarm clock.

So I did that, and came up with these 3 tips to help you bring your mom sexy back.

Prepare at night.  This one is usually tough for me, but helps when I can get motivated.  I'm usually just up too late to feel like making lunches at night or laying out my clothes.  Somewhere between the dudes going to bed and my dinner, my body just ups and quits and I just can't go on.  But you should definitely do this.
Wake up early.  As much as I love laying around until I am forced out of bed, it doesn't help me in the style department.  I have to wake up earlier than the dudes in order to get myself together.  By the time they wake up, I've already bested them by being fully dressed.  So there! And I get to hear M say, "Mommy, why do you have a pretty dress on?"
Keep it short.  The longer the kids stay in the house the harder it is to get them together.  Once the dudes wake up, I move in like a ninja attach squad (without the attack part, most days).  No time for playing, it's business time.  We do baths at night so we can skip some steps in the morning.  I give M about 15 minutes tops to get himself together.
Without these few steps, I'd be late for work every day, and may even look a mess on top of that. How are you bringing yoursexy back?
