These days, we are hearing a lot about the air pollution of Delhi. However Delhi isn't the only badly polluted city of India. Many smaller cities and towns have even worse air quality. As per the list of polluted cities released by WHO in December 2014, 13 out of the 20 most polluted cities of the world are Indian. These are:

While it is now easy to know the temperature of our city, finding out about its air quality is not so easy. But here's a service that seeks to solve this problem.

To celebrate the #EarthDay2016, @TwitterIndia and @IndiaSpend have launched a new service called #Breathe . This service can help users to find out about the air quality of their place just by tweeting. For this, users need to add hashtag #Breathe and then their location in their tweet. The tweet will get a quick reply with details of the air quality.

As yet, the service is available only for Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. But soon, it will start giving information about other Indian cities too.

As this service is on Twitter, only Twitter users can take benefit of it. Still, it is a good initiative. I hope it will help people become aware of how critical the problem of pollution is.
