Breaking! Ferguson Grand Jury Reaches Decision

By Eowyn @DrEowyn

From the New York Times, Nov. 24, 2014:

A grand jury has decided whether a white police officer should face charges in the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager here, ending months of closed-door testimony in the volatile case and weeks of preparation for possible unrest.

Prosecutors said they would announce the grand jury’s decision on the fate of the officer, Darren Wilson, later on Monday, though a time had yet to be made public. Around this St. Louis suburb, law enforcement authorities were on alert and the Missouri National Guard stood by; political leaders, including Gov. Jay Nixon, were holding last-minute meetings with community members; and residents, including parents of schoolchildren, were bracing for what might come next. …

The grand jury, made up of nine whites and three blacks, resumed deliberations Monday morning and had left the courthouse by midafternoon.

I’ll update this post as we know more.

Please say a prayer for America.
