We are featuring another book to movie review from my husband Chad. This post will feature the popular and controversial “true story” The Amityville Horror.
The Amityville Horror is a book written by Jay Anson. He wrote this book after George and Kathy Lutz fled from their newly purchased home after only occupying it for twenty eight days. Their reason for vacating their home so abruptly? Their home was haunted. The book has received many criticisms. Most of these stem from the validity of the Lutz’s claims. Many accuse them of lying in order to make money off their story. The Lutz family has never backed down from their story and has always claimed them to be true. Various psychics and mediums who have visited the actual home have also backed up their stories. It may just be a mystery that in the end only the Lutz’s will ever know the full truth to.
