Every year, a new area within Boldt’s Castle or outside is renovated. This year it was the Italians Gardens and a kitchen. We did not get a chance to see the kitchen but the Italian Gardens were just beautiful!! The new garden includes four marble statues, representing the four seasons, and a view of the shipping channel. The statues were found in the boat house, long forgotten and never installed. I do love gardens and Italian statues – such a nice step back into the past. The castle has been operated for 39 years by the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority, which estimated they have hosted more than 6.4 visitors and 1,200 weddings on Heart Island. Enjoy the gardens!!
