“For my outfit, I wanted to wear one item form each of the countries we represent together with Stephan. Since I live in Munich, the dress was from a German brand, my wedding shoes were obviously Spanish and my earrings – the only accessorize besides the ring – were from a little artisanal tiny shop in Mykonos town…”

“The wedding ceremony took place in Mykonos at Agia Anna Beach. We were sure we wanted a wedding at the sea and since we had relatives and friends coming from all over the world (mostly Catalans, Germans and Greeks because these are our nationalities: Elena half Greek half Catalan – Stephan German) we had to make sure to pick an island with direct flights from all destinations and of course Mykonos charm and life was perfect for it. Despite the August crowd, our guests loved it!”

“The ceremony was conducted by our siblings – no religious wedding – and we wanted it to be very simple. I would describe the style as Mediterranean boho since the predominant colors were of course white and blue/turquoise. We wanted all materials to be as natural as possible respecting the Cycladic style characteristic of the island”

“It was important for us to have a neat and Mediterranean style with lots of candles for the evening and to have a very relaxed and natural look. We had hanging candles all over the tables and also hanging from a big tree above the “dancing floor”. Since I’m a deco addict myself, as a hobby I have my own interior blog and already had in mind a pretty clear idea of how I wanted my wedding decoration to be. During the past years I’ve seen millions of pictures in different blogs – not necessary wedding ones (inspiration can come from the tiniest detail) – and of course Pinterest and Instagram are very helpful resources!”
