This was my first opportunity to photograph a Kalitta Air aircraft, which do not normally operate from SFO. Here one of their freighters gets ready to push the throttles forward for takeoff. Kalitta Air is a cargo airline founded by Connie Kalitta, a champion drag racer for over 40 years, who started his airline carrying car parts with a Cessna 310. Kalitta Air operates three 747-200 freighters among their fleet of 15 aircraft. Nikon D500 w/80-400 mm, processed with Aperture.
