Bobbi Kristina Brown’s estate reportedly has joined Bobby Brown in trying to prevent TV One from airing the ‘Bobbi Kristina’ biopic that is scheduled to air next month on the network.
According to TMZ, Bobbi Kristina’s estate has filed a lawsuit, claiming the biopic violates Bobbi Kristina’s right to privacy, which they claim survived her death.
Bobby in his lawsuit claimed the biopic “contains defamatory untrue depictions” of Bobby and Bobbi Kristina’s relationship, with scenes “suggesting” that Bobby“does not love his daughter.”
Just like Bobby Brown’s suit, Bobbi Kristina’s estate is asking for more than $2 million in damages and they want the judge to block the airing of the show.
TV One released the following statement regarding Brown’s claims.
“We are aware of the reported legal challenge by Bobby Brown regarding the film Bobbi Kristina and are taking appropriate steps on behalf of our network to respond. While we are not able to address our legal response at this time, we stand by the film and its representation of this period in Bobbi Kristina’s life.”
The Bobbi Kristina Biopic is set to premiere on TV One October, and stars Demetria McKinney as the late Whitney Houston and Joy Rovaris as Bobbi Kristina.
