Blue-the color of the day for the bunch of us writing CBC VIBGYOR BLOGTAG-Blue.Being a food blogger I had (have) a tough time deciding on the natural edible blue coloured substance.There seems to be no much choice :(. Though there are vegetables and fruits like  potatoes and blue berries they don't really appear blue.I am so confused how do fruits that appear black really fall under blue food.After breaking my head I have zeroed on grapes.Though they appear black/purple they officially fall under blue colored food.Before moving into the health benefits here are some interesting facts about blue color.According to wiki "blue is often associated with harmony,faithfulness and confidence and sometimes with sadness."Read more about blue.

People leaning towards blue tend to be trustworthy,reliable,conservative,cool,serene,calm and logical.They are often not spontaneous and more vulnerable.However they seem to lack friendliness and tend to be more aloof.
Health benefits of blue colored foods:
1.Rich in folic acid
2 Reduces the risk of stroke
3.The phytonutrient in blue foods keep blood vessels healthy
4.Helps in proper functioning of cardio vascular system
Health benefits of blue grapes
1.Rich in vitamins
2.Rich in fiber content
3.Rich in antibacterial properties and anti cancer properties
4.Helps in treating fatigue,kidney disorder and indigestion
Point to remember:Though grapes have loads of health benefits,it is highly recommended to wash them thoroughly before consumption as they are treated with lots of pesticides.
Some other blue foods that are not really blue are
1.Flax seeds
2.Blue berries
3.Walnuts
4.Chesnuts
5.Quino
5.Seaweed etc.
Coming to recipe there is nothing better than fresh grape juice.Just follow this recipe,omit salt and there you have your lovely glass of fresh grape juice.
