Everything about this Southern Indiana bed and breakfast was comfortable!

You’ll have full run of the house here. It’s two bedrooms, one with two twin beds and the other with a queen bed, a living room with a sofa bed, sitting room, kitchen, bath, and great porches. The owners, who also possess Blue Heron Winery, don’t live here.

Lynn will give you a choice: do you want breakfast inside or do you want to meander over to the picturesque barn to dine right outside? For us, it was a very quick and easy decision. We chose breakfast at the barn and I suggest that you do, too! The turn of the century barn and outbuildings are wonderful structures. Unlike your typical old barn, this one has been repurposed. Inside, there’s seating and a fireplace for those chillier nights.

Outside, there’s a great deck–and that’s where you will have a lovely, delicious homemade meal to start your day off right! I think it would be hard to not have a great morning when you are surrounded by so much peace and tranquility.

There’s nothing quite like enjoying a beautiful homemade breakfast overlooking vineyards. After we finished eating, my husband, Jeremy, and I took a moment to enjoy our coffee and juice while our boys ran free, roaming and exploring the large property, pretending they were adventurers. They had so much fun! Apparently there’s even a four acre lake on the property but we did not have time in the day to do that much exploring!

Of course, that is just the outside! Inside, the Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast it is just as homey and nice as can be.

The entire home is tastefully furnished and decorated in shades of blues and green. It’s calming and restful. Everything is placed just so. Antique furniture sits here, there, and everywhere!

Packages of tea, biscotti, and coffee await you inside the kitchen cabinet near to the sink for those quiet evenings. Enjoy it inside at the table in the warm glow of the kitchen light or head for one of the porches and gape at the number of stars visible in the country sky. We did both during our stay!
