AHH!! only 1 week until Christmas Day!! How exciting! I haven't wrapped a single gift yet - woops!
The lovelies over at the Body Shop contacted me to ask if I would like to do a day to night look using their products and I was all too happy to accept! Here's what I used and how I looked...
This is the look!Here's what I used:
I used the Body Shop Insta Blur primer to start which by the way, is the best pore minimising primer I've ever used. It feels silky and smooth without being overly silicone based. It doesn't feel slippy or greasy, it just feels like my skin but better.
I applied my regular foundation using the new Buffing Brush which gave me a subtle finish. The Body Shop have recently released a range of new brushes which include everything from a buffing brush, to a face mask brush, shading brush and highlighter brush amongst many more. The brushes all have wooden handles and the bristles are coated with charcoal. They feel super soft and after testing how well they wash I can confirm they wash perfectly! I did think they might not be as soft after washing but they retain their texture and shape brilliantly.
Once I had done my foundation, I packed on some of the All In One Concealer. This is a seriously pigmented concealer that will hide any imperfections without drawing attention to it. Goodbye blue under eye bags!
Moving on to brows, I used the brow and liner kit to fill them in and define, before getting to work on eyes using the Down To Earth Eye Shadow Palette. I used the lightest shade all over my lid, before working a bronzey shade into the crease and defined the outer corner and lower lash line using the deep brown color.
I whacked on a few coats of the Super Volume mascara before adding some black liner to my top lashes and some of the white liner to my lower water line.
I used my own blush and highlight before moving on to lips.
For a daytime look, I really wanted to keep it simple, so used a 'blushing pink' liner to both line and fill in my lips. The color lasted a good few hours which was perfect for daytime use.
For night time, I changed the look by simply changing the lip color..
The Body Shop have released 'Matte Lip Liquid' which is a liquid lippy with a matte finish. I used the shade Mauritius Dahlia and whilst it was drying (all matte lipsticks are!) I found that this layered really well. I ate my dinner and drank copious amounts of wine and still had a decent amount of lipstick on. Parts of it had dried away as I was eating but like I said, I added more and didn't get that 'chalky' feeling you often get with other liquid lipsticks.
