Blog Update + Popping Blue Makeup Look

By Urhappybunnie @joaniebunnie
Hi ladies! I usually update my blog at least 3-4 times a week but as some of you have probably noticed, I only had one blog post up aside from the Ur Made Up Face Series that goes up every Saturday. I've been really depressed for the past few weeks but I've been trying my best to have at least one post up for you guys.
Aside from being sad and down, I am also on a no makeup buy until April so I won't be reviewing that much products except for the products that I already have and have been meaning to do a review on and the items that will come in my BNT Beauty Box. With that being said, expect more makeup looks and hopefully collaborations with other beauty bloggers as well. If you have any makeup look requests, please do not hesitate to leave it on the comments down below. :)
All right, enough rambling, here's a makeup look that I don't normally go for but it's fun, bright, and smokey.

Face:
  • Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation - Apply a good foundation, if you're planning to wear this for a night out, a full coverage foundation would be great to cover up all the imperfections.
  • Physicians Strength Concealer Rx in & Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Concealer in Medium 28 - This is a concealer combination that I have been loving recently. I've had the Concealer RX for a long time but it's to light for me but it has a pink undertone which is great to cancel out the darkness under the eyes. The Lock It Tattoo Concealer which matches my skin is great on top of the Concealer Rx and it gives a slightly highlighted under eye. Of course, you can use whichever concealer that works for your under eye circles and blemishes.
  • MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Deep - I applied this only on top of my concealer to set it.
  • NARS Laguna Bronzer - Contour the cheeks, jaw, temples and nose for a slightly slimmer looking face.
  • NARS Blush in Goulue - Taking a deep plum/rose blush, apply it on the cheeks (I apply it near the back of my cheeks - that's just the way I like to apply mine).
  • NARS Highlighter in Devotee - Apply the highlight shade on the areas where the light naturally hits the face - tops of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, forehead, Cupid's bow and chin.

Brows:
Wet n Wild Brow Kit
Eyes:
I'm using shadows from the Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette but of course, you can always substitute shades with the ones you have.
  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight - Start off with an eyeshadow primer to keep your shadows in place and make them more vibrant. I'm using a base with shimmer to intensify the shimmery blue shadow that we will be using.

  1. Apply Madness (a shimmery blue shade) all over the lid with a flat shadow brush.
  2. Apply Prank (a navy/turquoise shade) on the outer corner of the eye with the other side of the flat shadow brush that we used to apply Madness.
  3. With a crease brush, apply Poison (a black shadow with a bit of glitter - but it doesn't show up once blended) on the crease and lightly blend it with Prank. Blend everything nicely without bringing it too much high above the crease. This is if you want the colors to be more on the lid. This is especially a great look for Asian eyes but of course, if you want a more defined crease, feel free to adjust the eyeshadow application and go as far up as you want, just remember to leave an area for a brow bone highlight!
  4. For the brow bone highlight, I used Habit, a matte cream shade.
  5. Apply Madness again on the lower lash line for a nice pop.
  6. Mixing Prank and Poison on the tip of the flat shadow brush, apply it on the outer corner of the lower lash line, connecting it with the shadow on the outer corner of the upper lash line. Don't forget to blend!
  7. Apply the shade Dope on the inner corner of the eye for a brighter eye look with a pencil brush.  Blog Update + Popping Blue Makeup Look Blog Update + Popping Blue Makeup Look
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Zero - Apply on the upper and lower waterline.
  • Graymelin Control Sharp Liner Waterproof Black - Apply a  liquid liner on the upper lash line, depending on how you like to apply your liquid liner, go as thin, thick or boldly wing it!
  • Maybelline Volum' Express Mega Plush Mascara & Maybelline Volum' Express Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara - I love layering mascara and the Mega Plush gives a wispy false lash look and the Colossal Cat Eyes is great for lengthening.
Lips:
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil in Naked - Keeping the lips nude, I just applied this Naked Lip Pencil and topped it off with the Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss in Naked.
