Happy Monday, people!
I hope you guys had a great weekend. I know I've been a little MIA lately, because I'm trying to start my Canadian Law Licensing process. This requires extensive study, too many exams and oh-so-much-time! So yea, now that you know what's been up- let's move ahead to today's post. :D
I'm super excited for it because I've been nominated for the Blog Tour Award, by the lovely Coral Lawson. She blogs about Fashion, Food and so much more. So be sure to check her out as well. :D
So the rules of this Award are pretty simple, but they do require quite some thinking, as compared to the other Awards. I mean, explaining our creative process- hmmm, how do I start on that, eh? Well, Coral had already selected the questions that I'm supposed to answer, so let's just jump right into it.
1. How does your work differ from others in your genre?Well, I would like to believe that I keep my writing very raw and original. So I write how I would probably talk about it, if you guys were sitting in front of me. I do not follow cookie-cutter blog structures, and try to include an element of ' me' in everything that I write. :wink: Also, I think my posts vary a lot- I write about anything, and everything that I'm interested in, or that catches my fancy at a particular moment- so it's quite a varied selection. Plus, I'm super proud to be an Indian and cannot get enough of all-things Indian. So I include my Indian-ness ( wait, is that even a word :P ) a lot, in my posts.
2. How does your writing/creative process work?So the things is that I don't plan much before writing, and my writing pretty much flows along as I keep typing. So for me, I don't really create a rough draft- it's more like writing directly in my WordPress account, and polishing it as I go along. Honestly, I have tried writing a draft and then typing it out, but it doesn't feel the same and I seriously cannot do it like that. It feels like I"m deliberating trying to do something in a fancy-pansy manner, instead of letting it happen naturally; I don't know if that made much sense, but that's how that made me feel. So I choose the pictures/ideas that I want to include in a post, and start typing directly in my account.
3. Why do you write and create what you do?Ok, so before I answer that, you guys should think about the time, which was like 10-12 years back; what was ' it' which made you feel like- yess! This is me- This is what defines me and makes me feel different than everybody else? Well, for me it has always been writing & I started maintaining a daily diary ever since I was 9 years old. Nothing compares to the joy, which writing about my interests and my experiences brings to me; although life has certainly become too busy, to allow me to exploit this activity as much as I'd like to. :roll:
4. What are you working on at the moment?Ooooh, at the moment, I cannot wait for 29th June, 2015 for the Indian Couture Week kicks of that day. And the best part about that is the Master Couturier Sabyasachi is collaborating with none other than Christian Louboutin for the Opening Show! *big big sigh* So yea, I'll be covering every minute detail of that. Besides that I'm presently working on creating a go-to-makeup list for medium toned, warm-skinned girls. (like me! ) Yay! Super excited to talk about all the makeup products that I literally gravitate towards EVERY time. :D
