Blast Near MQM Office in Karachi Kills Five

KarachiKarachi: At least five people including three real brothers were killed and scores of others injured in a deadly blast near the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s electoral office in Nusrat Bhutto Colony of North Nazimabad Area.

According to initial reports, the remote-controlled bomb was placed in a car. The intensity of the blast was as much that it was heard miles away.

Several vehicles and nearby buildings have been damaged due to the blast.

Police and rangers cordoned-off the area immediately and probe has got underway.

The dead and injured have been shifted into the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Several injured are said to be in critical condition and death toll is feared to climb.

Meanwhile, banned outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility of the attack.
