The Apple I phone 7 is the next projected child from the “I” family. Apple’s latest patent suggests that the company is looking at new ways to boost the audio by using better speakers for the next generation of iPhones.Better speakers for i phone 7
The patent which was applied in 2013 describes how difficult it has become in recent times to deliver better audio quality. This is a problem that applies more to Apple than anyone else since the company’s iPhone and iPads keep growing thinner every year.
According to the patent, Apple appears to be aiming for a speaker solution to keep up with its increasingly-slimmer smartphones. The patent hints at a system that uses the entire phone as an audio chamber. Using the entire phone’s interior increases the amount of air that can pass through the speaker system, boosting the volume output as well the audio quality. The one or more speakers [of this new system] can also produce audio sound that can be directed to one or more audio output openings thus giving better quality clear output. The patent also hints at audio input being improved, meaning that the microphone may also improve alongside the speakers using the same audio chamber technology.
Apple’s pursuit of thinner, lighter phones also boosts rumours that the next iPhone may ditch the headphone jack having consumers split. However, the promise of improved audio quality would make saying goodbye to 3.5mm an easier pill to swallow, and getting rid of the large 3.5mm jack could lead to a bigger cavity for a secondary speaker on the left bottom side.
