Oops… I have of course been saving up great wedding blog posts for you over the last couple of weeks, but with one thing and another I’ve been sat on my little list and haven’t gotten around to sharing my best wedding blogs with you! So sorry…
This glorious festival wedding will be on English Wedding Blog soon — I couldn’t resist, it’s beautiful and so much fun! In the meantime, click the image to see more on Tracy Morter’s wedding photography blog
Of course the good news is I’m here now, and I have some gorgeous real weddings, creative ideas and discussions to share with you. Here’s my best of the wedding blogs for the last couple of weeks or so:
Real wedding blogs
- A stately home wedding at Stoneleigh Abbey — a magnificent venue and one of my favourite wedding blogs of the last few weeks.
- Pop Looks Bach Down the Aisle… irresistible title and a stunning wedding. The best part is, this will be on English Wedding Blog very soon! Yay!
- A sublime Belle Epoque wedding, beautiful imagery and a cosy, loved-up, wintery warm atmosphere. Unmissable.
- A superhero wedding with vintage styling and the loveliest colour inspiration you could possibly imagine!

- A Wellington College wedding — beautiful documentary wedding photography, timeless style and venues to delight and amaze our eyes — I loved this and so will you.
- Afternoon tea, vintage styling and ice creams… bundles of ideas from this whimsical wedding!
- This 1930s inspired wedding is fabulous! Love that dress…
Think creative — handcrafted and DIY wedding inspiration
- Having moved to a very rural area, I know realise that not everyone has a vintage wedding fair they can go to for inspiration! Never fear though — the write up of the White Memoirs vintage wedding fair is here for you all to enjoy.
Wedding accessories by Vintage Styler — ideas for you and your bridesmaids
- Designer wedding accessories by Vintage Styler — there are ideas here for every bride (and bridesmaid)! A little star on the blog circuit in recent weeks — you’ll love it.
- Alternatives to wedding seating plans — escort cards will save you money and tears!
- Jen made her own order of service fans — check out the tutorial on Boho Weddings blog
- Let them eat cake! Dessert stations on the always-beautiful LoveLuxe blog. Gorgeous images and fabulously creative ideas for you to take away!

- If you don’t know how much I love calligraphy, where have you been? This by my wonderful friend Scarlet Blue. She rocks. And she’s above Chanel in a wedding magazine (as she should be!)
- The unique talent of Cakes by Beth — exquisite wedding cake design at Cake International in Birmingham, and gorgeous images to showcase my favourite UK wedding cake designer bar none!
- Design Envy from Amma at Beyond Beyond. I love her. (It’s clearly reciprocated… I’m “disgustingly talented”.) Thank you Amma, you’re amazing!

Advice and opinion — wedding help and tips from the experts
- How to let people help you — it’s not as easy as it sounds to let go!
- Weddings, perspective and family: a heartfelt blog post by Sara — Under the Vintage Veil.
- Confessions of a disabled bride — an eye-opener when it comes to wheelchair access at wedding venues. A must-read for everyone (if you have one wedding guest who needs disabled access, you need to see this!)
- Don’t fear (the little haunting girl of) your past — thoughts on accepting who you are, in the context of planning a wedding. A great read.
So that’s this week’s round up of my favourite wedding blog posts. If you think I’ve missed something on another blog then please include a link in the comments box below! (Other wedding bloggers are welcome to share too!) Before I go I should quickly mention two of my inspiration sources for these ‘best wedding blogs’ posts.
The weekly email from WedWeekly is a great source of everything from ideas to interesting and funny wedding stories. I recommend it! I’m sure some of the blogs in my list below are from their email — do sign up, you’ll like it. http://wedweekly.com/.
My other inspiration source is the wonderful Bloglovin’ — I’ve subscribed to my favourite wedding blogs here and they send me daily emails to keep up with the best bits from all of them. English Wedding Blog is on the list of course!
Have a lovely day, keep warm everyone. Love, Claire xxx
