I counted the number of times I’d ask Chok for help because I was looking for it (because I’d sometimes misplace it while dressing up, which is the case when traveling) and that proves that I really meant to use it and didn’t want to leave Chok’s Tampines pad without putting some on.  Notice the package label isn’t your typical, clear sticker, it’s printed onto the white cap segment (diff material from the blue plastic) excellently.  I appreciate little things like that.  Read more to see how I look with my hair semi-tamed by this super effective hair product.

I won’t bother showing a photo of the product itself, basta it’s pretty much a grey, semi-sticky, dense cream and this one smells very nice.  It reminds me of a fragrance like a masculine sort of shampoo clean without being too distracting, still wearable for ladies like me.  I also don’t wanna look greasy so the demi-matte texture this provides keeps it looking clean and tame.  Here’s a photo my friend and host in SG, Chok, took of her former schoolmates, me and Noelle aka Kikayrunner.  We were on our way to Sentosa.

I use this product because since I cut my hair I’ve been wanting the opposite of too much volume most of the time.  Because I have naturally wavy hair I have a lot of lift at the roots now, but I want a clean, polished pixie look most of the time, meaning not too flat, but no annoying parts standing either.  I use Bench Rock and Rule Sculpting Wax to smooth down my now very noticeable patillas and a certain cowlick wave that kind of lifts too much over the left side of my head.  It isn’t a pain to shampoo off and it does stiffen up ever so slightly towards the end of the day, but not in the same crispy, inflexible way hairspray does, I just comb through.  What’s also wonderful bout it is it’s only Php35.00, available at most or all Bench outlets locally.  Their potted styling products also come in other variants with varying levels of hold and shine.  They even bother to define what sort of hair texture you can expect to achieve with each one (Your Hairdo: Shuffled and Matte) and I like details like that.
