Bellabox June 2015

bellabox

When I received this month’s Bellabox* I was very happy to see some old favourites and some new brands I have not yet tried. I have used subscription boxes in the past and have good and bad experiences with them, I was pleasantly surprised by this month’s inclusions.

Original Source Skin Quench in Watermelon and Jojoba Oil

I have used Original Source products for years, some of my favourites have been mint, lime and lemon flavours. Watermelon is perhaps one of my favorite scents EVER and this one have fast become a new favorite. It smells divine!

Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

For me this product is another oldie but a goodie. I have gone through numerous tubes of this product. It is one of my favorite lip balms of all time. It’s minimal fuss and does the job. Another cult classic product for me.

Aveda Damage Remedy

I was particularly excited to see this product. I have been meaning to try this for literally years but as I don’t have an Aveda store close-by it’s just something I always forget to pick up. It is supposed to be an intensive re-structuring treatment (just what my hair needs right now), and with winter in full swing I am sure many of us can do with this right now. It has that wonderful Aveda herbally smell which I just love!

Joy by Jean Patou

Perfume samples are probably my most favorite samples to receive. I have found some of my very favorite perfumes this way (Byredo and Diptyque). This one is a floral, quite a heavy jasmine and rose floral that reminds me a lot of Red Door by Elizabeth Arden (did anyone else think this?). It comes across as a little more mature, its not my most favorite but I will definitely use it.

UB Cosmetics Tint Stick

If you like long wearing lip tints you will love this product. This product is a marker pen type lip product, color is a very vibrant pink that goes on a little more like a red-pink on my lips. I prefer just a little gloss on top of this to give it a shine as it can look a little dull and matte on my dry lips. It comes in a handy little pen that is easy for touching up. I think this color will look even better in summer on tanned skin.

Overall I was very impressed by this month’s Bellabox, I like subscription boxes because it opens me up to trying brands I have not tried or heard of before. Thankyou to Bellabox for letting me trial this month’s box.
