Becoming A Blogger: is a special moment in many people’s lives. It is a chance to share interesting, exciting ideas with other people from all around the world. It allows you to impact, change, and help other people. It’s also the opportunity to change your own life, by creating an income source for yourself.

There are several important things you should learn in order to become a great blogger:

Get a clear focus for your blog – The internet is filled with millions of blogs, creating a general blog about a wide range of “stuff” is a recipe for disaster. Ask yourself:

What am I an expert at that other people would love to learn about?
What do I have to share with others that is unique and special?
What am I passionate and excited to write about?

Don’t just follow the money – Blogging solely as a way to make money is hard. When you lack the passion, the excitement, and the drive to write everyday, you probably won’t. In order for your blog to succeed you are going to need to do a lot of great blogging. This is usually a result of passion.

Be unique – Give your blog a unique identity, feeling, and appearance. Your blog will be built off of return visitors. Relying solely on new visitors to stumble onto your blog is a poor strategy. It’s much better to build a fan base of people who come back over, and over again. You do this by connecting with your readers, and building a brand in their minds.

Quality Content – Focus your blogging on delivering great, valuable content to your readers. The #1 deciding factor in whether your blog succeeds or not is going to be your ability to give your readers unique value. Just giving valuable information is not enough because they may be able to find it somewhere else. Concentrate on:

> Creating content on a consistent basis, whether daily, weekly, or monthly.
> Stories and controversy
> Valuable “How-to” information that’s unique and special
> Innovative, breakthrough ideas

Share yourself with the world – Ultimately you become a minor celebrity to your readers. They are reading your blog, and coming back on a continual basis because they are interested in what you have to say. Your readers want to know about you. Share personal stories, pictures, and “human interest” stories that build a bond with your readers. The stronger your bond, the more loyal they will be and the more active they will become on your blog.

Create an email newsletter – Allow your readers to get access to special, exclusive content through an email newsletter. You can make your email newsletter an extension of your blogs content. Provide your newsletter readers with highly valuable content that they can’t get anywhere else. Give exciting stories and breaking information that will excite them. An email newsletter will dramatically help your blog gain more loyal readers and keep them coming back.

Create videos and become a YouTube celebrity – Post videos of yourself talking into the camera and create a “emotional connection” with your viewers. Focus your topics on the same content as your blog to attract the right viewers. Create funny, exciting, and dramatic videos that people will love to watch. Next, buy views on YouTube to promote your videos and push them to the top.

One of the best things you can do to get traffic, and increase traffic to your blog is to create high quality YouTube videos targeted to your readers. Then push it to the top of YouTube. This creates a network effect that, the more YouTube views you have, the more you can get.

Finally, in conclusion focus on carving out a special niche for your blog that will get loyal readers. Only blog about something you have passion and excitement for. Lastly, create unique content that your readers cannot find anywhere else. Have fun and remember to blog with passion!
