Maybelline is a brand with some solid blogger favourites, now they have released a new collection that is all kinds of fun! It’s hotting up (kinda) and festival season will soon be upon us, but nobody does a glam carnival full of fun like in Rio de Janeiro. A carnival that’s full of vibrant colours, feathers and a hell of a lot of booty shakin’, it’s an explosion of entertainment. Maybelline has released a new, mini collection, aptly named ‘Go Rio!’ to ensure you are dolled up almost as if you were there, and it’s all exclusive to Superdrug.
The collection consists of three already well-loved products, just given a bit of a face-lift in the form of new packaging, and four new shades of lipstick – which simply are drop dead gorgeous. The packaging shows their simple and sleek black offering all jazzed up with bright, multi-coloured feathers for an extreme party vibe. It all begins with theColossal 100% Black Mascara (£6.99), one that is known for extreme volume due to being collagen-enriched, meaning it pushes the mascaras up for an extreme flare. An absolute blogger must have comes in the form of the Eraser Eye Concealer (£7.99), a product that I am yet to try but always hear so much about! It brightens and lightens the under eyes, so even if you are out all night partying – you can still look fabulous the morning after!
We then have a 2-in-1 contouring palette which is still a somewhat new release, the Master Sculpt (£6.99). Encased in this beauty is a bronzing and highlighting duo to ensure that you have killer cheekbones and a kick ass highlight and it is the perfect size to pop in your handbag. Finally, we have the most exciting of the bunch, the newly released Vivid Matte Liquid Lipsticks (£6.99), wherein this collection they come in four shades. In one stroke it’s instant color and a velvety finish. This type of products isn’t half making the rounds isn’t it? I’m so glad because these are a fabulous drugstore version!
