Beauty Event: Grammy Awards 2013

By Bbeautylove @bbeautylove

After the shock news that the Grammy’s were banning any over-the-top, skin showing, overtly sexy outfits from the red carpet I thought the female stars would use this opportunity to experiment with color and texture in regards to make up. And although there were some attempts (mainly from lesser known, badly dressed singers) most of my favorite artists decided to stick with what they know and wear something they felt most comfortable in.

So, as there were no new or exciting make up trends to report, I thought I would round up my favourites and pit them against one another and get you guys to tell me which look you preferred.

Firstly, the best red lip of the night was a draw between two of the greatest diva’s out there; Beyoncè and Rihanna. Both opted for matte red and bare skin. I love both looks, but who’s do you prefer?

Next up; who did the natural Sixties eye better? Seasoned veteran Adele or colourful brights fans Katy Perry? Both went for nude lips, socket definition and huge lashes but who did you prefer?

In terms of black smoky eyes, we have two amazing choices. Jennifer Lopez’s graphic liner version or Carrie Underwood’s soft and smoky haze with lots of lashes! Tell me who’s your winner below.

Blue  gave the simple smoky eye an edge and it is a toss up who did it best between two Carly’s! Do you prefer model Karlie Kloss or singer Carly Rae Jepsen?

And finally we come to the natural beauty. Yes they were wearing make up but only a small amount of liner here, some mascara and lipgloss there. Kelly Rowland and Jessica Biel looked divine in minimal make up, but who wore it better?

Please tell me in the comments below who your favourites were and I hope you enjoyed this post!
