“We met in Santorini while I was in the search of a new beginning and he was the chef of a boat. I took a catamaran tour with two friends after we decided to change our plan of going to Mykonos and stay more days in this paradise island. I stepped on that boat and the attraction with George was instant, the conversation flew perfect and after the most beautiful sunset in the middle of the sea, the handsome Greek invited me out. We both decided to live the adventure of our life. That was 3 years ago. And now look where the adventure brought us… To a paradise we chose for our new beginning, to an island in which we want to build our own story, to dream our future together, to live the present as free as possible until we decide that it’s time for a new “new beginning”…

“We were living in Chile after one year of long distance relationship. That day George asked me on a date, he was going to cook something at home and I had to bring the wine on my way back from the office. I didn’t suspect anything because once a week we plan a date alone and try to make something special… so this was another one of those days. When I got home he was in the kitchen, handsome as always and with champagne cooling in the fridge. We sat in the terrace, the summer weather was perfect for being outside. We had some champagne and appetizers but George kept rushing the dinner… He brought the Shrimp Saganaki he had prepared, same dish he cooked for me on our first night together in Santorini. “I need to go to the toilet” is the first thing he said when he sat down and after that he kept going inside and coming back to check me! After 10 minutes he called me… While I was going inside I heard the music, our song! The hall of our apartment was full of candles and petals… In our bedroom more candles and a gorgeous flower arrangement. “Would you marry me?” he said in one knee just like in the movies!”

“I knew I wanted something simple, comfortable, fresh and not white. A wedding dress that didn’t look like a wedding dress was the goal. I chose soft fabrics in ivory and gold, the silk made a perfect vaporous skirt and the vintage lace was the perfect match for a classy/beach look. My dress was amazing!”

“We didn’t think of a special concept but we tried to have a simple and classy decoration that let the beauty of Santorini shine on its own. My bridal bouquet had white peonies and roses with olive leaves.”
