Beaulieu Abbeys Weddings have a particular air to them, with its historical setting and accompanying stunning grounds.
Set in the heart of the Hampshire New Forest, this tranquil venue offers forward a breathtaking backdrop within which to exchange vows and celebrate with family and friends.
New Forest Weddings
Maria and Jon’s tradition English wedding was a beautiful day, blending all the best elements from both the old and the new.
From top hats and tails, horse drawn carriages, to swapping the confetti walk through for bubbles!
Great elements were brought together to deliver some lovely images and that captured the memories.
Beaulieu Abbey Weddings like many other Hampshire wedding venues, bring with them certain limits to what can and cannot be done photographically. Here no photographers are allowed at the front on the Abbey, so certain angles and moments are not possible to capture.
We were also restricted on use of certain parts of the stunning old abbey ruins. The week before the ceremony, scaffolders had covered one of it’s key photographic aspects, the three arches.
But that’s life – things change beyond our control, and we work with what we have. So thankfully Beaulieu allowed the wedding party access to the grounds of the main house for the canapés and drinks reception.
An ideal location and advantageous place for more relaxed wedding portraiture.
This coupled with the great crowd of friends and family drawn from around the globe, led to a highly memorable day full of great warmth, connection and fun!
