Be Proud That You Are A Filipino - Ani Ng Dangal Exhibit at SM North EDSA
By Rayrose Camille Samson @itsrayroseSM City North EDSA celebrates the 119th Philippine Independence day with a Special curated exhibit at The Block Atrium entitled "Ani ng Dangal Exhibit" it is for our very own natural-born Filipino artist or group that has been awarded and celebrated on international event which includes the seven art disciplines: Architecture and Allied Arts, Cinema, Dance, Dramatic Arts, Literary Arts, Music and Visual Arts. Ani ng Dangal or "Harvest of Honors" is a state recognition given by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). It has been an annual event in the Philippines celebrated and concluding rite of the Philippine Arts Festival.
On the same venue, last June 12, 2017, SM North EDSA hosted an event where music and dancing featuring select world renowned performers brought by the The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). Featuring an invigorating dance number by the award winning all male dance group, Junior New System, a cultural performance by University of the Philippines resident Ethnic Music and Dance Ensemble, Kontra Gapi.
The first performer was Mr. Joey Ayala with his signature mix of Filipino ethnic instruments and pop music.
Everyone enjoys his short message and listen carefully with his songs while he sings.
Celebrating Independence Day on a mall is great, watching the performers that created name throughout the world makes me feel proud that I'm a Filipino. Reading all of the Ani ng Dangal side by side encourage me to be more determined to strive more harder to my dreams.
