Little Mr A was recently sent some great Pokemon toys from Tomy.
He received the Clip 'n' Carry Poke Ball Cross-Belt, the Trainer Gloves and a Clip 'n' Carry Poke Ball with Bulbasaur figure.
The belt comes with two Poke Balls complete with action figures. The balls attach easily to the belt which can then be attached to trousers, bags and belt loops.
The characters also come with their very own Attack Tag so that you can compare their vital statistics!
The idea is that you can 'battle' with your friends by comparing the statistics on the tags (a bit like Top Trumps).
As well as being able to battle with the characters, they are also great little action figures that can be played with on their own or alongside other toys.
The balls attached very easily to the belt and you can carry up to six at a time. The belt is also adjustable, although we did find it was still a little big for Little Mr A's particularly skinny waist!
The RRP for the belt is £18.99, which when you consider each extra Carry Poke Ball is £12.99, this is actually a really reasonable price as you receive two Poke Balls plus the belt for this price.
Trainer GlovesThe trainer gloves come with a motion activated sensor which, when you move your hands, sets off different battle sounds.
Aimed at ages 4+ these gloves fit Little Mr A's hands and they weren't too heavy for him to move about even with the motion sensor on them.
The batteries are included with the gloves.
With an RRP of £14.99 this is probably more than I would spend on a toy like this, however, they are great quality and having the motion activated sounds is a really good extra. If you want to kit out your little Pokemon fan with all of the gear then it is worth paying the price.
What did Little Mr A think?Now Little Mr A isn't the biggest Pokemon fan. He does like to watch it occasionally but he by no means knows all of the characters!
He absolutely loves the toys though! In fact, he refused to take off the belt and gloves on the day I gave them to him and we had to walk around town with him fully kitted out!
The balls stayed on the belt well as we walked around, although we did make sure Little Mr A didn't do anything too strenuous as we didn't want to have tears if he lost one of the characters!
Little Mr A is just getting into things like Top Trumps so he really enjoys the card aspect of the toys, and I think if we had a few more he would be able to 'battle' the Pokemon better.
Overall these are good toys for any Pokemon fan although I would say you need a few of the characters to be able to really make the most of them and play with them in the way they are intended.
